This document shows screens from an iPhone app the Local Matters Labs team built in Nov 2010.

We this app to demonstrate a different, and we think better, design for a Yellow Page app. Most Yellow Page apps follow the same model as their web sites. They start by showing two text fields:

  [What] and [Where]

In the mobile context, we know where you are looking. Far more often than not, you are searching near your current location.

And we can make a pretty good guess about what you are looking for: restaurants, banks, coffee shops, that sort of thing.

By default the app searches for restaurants around your location. You can choose another location, or enter a search term if you want, this just isnít the experience we lead with.
